where the Democratic Leader Aung San Suu Khi is on trial, facing up to 5 years in prison. The Nobel Laureate has already spent six years under house arrest and was due to be released this week. But she was arrested again, after sheltering an uninvited American national at her lakeside home. There has been universal outrage at Ms SUE-CHEEs arrest some of the loudest comes from Nelson Mandelas group of Elder statesmen,
The Elders, one of whom is former UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi who joins Sir David from Paris.

On Monday North Korea conducted a second underground nuclear test, three years after its first, followed by the launch of several short-range missiles into the Sea of Japan. The United Nations Security Council has unanimously condemned the country, but it still needs to agree on a new resolution. Meanwhile, North Korea announced that it is abandoning the treaty that ended the Korean War more than 50 years ago.
So how serious are North Koreas threats?
