Letter of Invitation

NTI-DICTATORSHIP, PEOPLE’S FREEDOM MOVEMENT IN BURMA

Letter of Invitation

Our 371st week of political defiance against military rule in Burma will continue.
Today, Than Shwe’s ploy to sideline Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in Insein prison for three to five years is coming into fruition and the US, EU, ASEAN and specifically UN is still issuing statements and condemnations without any substantial backing or teeth as known worldwide today.
“The most important thing is to stick to the principles of mutual respect and not interfere in each others internal affairs," the Chinese premier telling a news conference after the China-EU Summit indicates China’s warning to US and UN specifically to keep clear of its protégé Burma even in lieu of Daw Suu hauled into a kangaroo court and facing a long term imprisonment on a trumped up charge also.
Though the global community is outraged and called for release of Daw Suu among democratic changes including abandoning Than Shwe’s farce 2010 elections.
India, the world’s largest democracy is still tight-lipped over Daw Suu’s agony and humiliation until today, though a citation named after India’s Mahatma Gandhi is line for Daw Suu on July 20th coming in South Africa.
The UN has issued a low tone half-hearted statement “The members of the Security Council express their concern about the political impact of recent developments relating to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi” in place of demanding for her immediate release like others.
However, it is our bounded duty and obligation to show our determination and diligence in our struggle for our country’s freedom and democracy.
Hence, in this view we are going to bare our utmost disgust and determined calls for the release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners and holding of a dialogue between Daw Suu led NLD, ethnic leaders and Than Shwe’s regime, not to mention abandon his farce 2010 at the same time as per schedule below.
