Human Rights Night in Washington, D.C.

Dear Friends,

We are writing to offer you a unique opportunity to witness an amazing and entertaining event while also showing your support for the Burma and Burmese American community.

The Overseas Burmese Association and 17 other human rights concerned organizations and ethnic groups are offering tickets for the Divine Performing Arts shows at the Kennedy Center Opera House on 12 Feb 2009. These shows with a cast of over 100 artists, including 6 champions from international contests, and a full orchestra, are the first time that they will be performing at the Kennedy Center in what promises to be a breathtaking and spectacular performance of a lifetime, and showcases the unity among various Human Rights groups.

The Divine Performing Arts (www.DivinePerformin gArts.org) is a fantastic performance troupe that seeks to educate the public about 5,000 years of Chinese culture but is entirely unaffiliated with the Chinese government. They have partnered with organizations that represent communities whose oppression have been aided by the actions of the Chinese government, such as Nuncio to Africa – World’s Bishops’ Council, Free China Movement, United League for Democracy in Laos, Non-violent Movement for Human Rights in Vietnam, the OBA, and many others.

The Divine Performing Arts will donate a portion of the proceeds to the OBA, the organization that monitors the difficult situation in Burma and aids the Burmese people by providing food, medical supplies and other necessary provisions.

If you are interested in purchasing tickets to see this fantastic performance that is SOLD OUT, then please contact Aung Kyaw Oo at 301.801.1428 / akyawoo@verizon. net. Checks can be made payable to NTDTV (New Tang Dynasty Television).
